Is this tour suitable for families with children?
Yes, this tour is very family-friendly. Children can participate in most activities, with safety measures in place (e.g. children ride in sleighs during snowmobiling).

How physically demanding is the tour?
The tour is moderately active but suitable for most fitness levels. Activities like snowmobiling and husky sledding require basic mobility, but no prior experience is needed.

Is travel insurance required?
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers.

We are agents for Go Insurance and offer competitive rates.

Will there be daylight in winter?
Yes, but daylight hours are limited (approximately 2–4 hours in mid-winter), creating a magical twilight atmosphere.

Can I use my phone and internet in Lapland?
Yes, mobile coverage is generally good in Rovaniemi, and most hotels offer Wi-Fi.

How far in advance should I book?
Lapland winter travel—especially December—is extremely popular. Booking 9–12 months in advance is recommended.

Welcome to magical Finnish Lapland!

Upon arrival at , you will be met and transferred to your resort, where your unforgettable Arctic adventure begins.

After check-in, take some time to settle into your cosy cottage or hotel accommodation and soak up the beautiful snowy surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to explore the resort area, enjoy the crisp Arctic air, or simply relax and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Activity itinerary example – the complete schedule will be informed latest upon arrival
On your arrival day you will be transported to your resort directly from Kittilä airport (KTT) or from Kolari railway station.

On the first evening you will be having dinner and you will have a change to pick up your winter clothing either in the evening or on first morning, depending on your arrival time.

Day 2 - A day filled with bucket list activities

After breakfast, experience one of Lapland’s most popular activities — an unforgettable husky safari through snowy forests in true Arctic style. Following a visit to the husky farm where you will meet the energetic dogs, it’s time to head out into the wilderness seating in a sleigh pulled by a team of excited huskies.

Return to the resort for lunch and some time to warm up before your afternoon adventure.

This afternoon, it’s time to start your snowmobile engines and explore the frozen wilderness of Lapland on an exciting snowmobile safari. Travel through beautiful snowy landscapes, across frozen lakes, and along forest trails while experiencing the breathtaking Arctic scenery.

Return to the resort and enjoy some time at leisure before dinner.

Do I need experience to drive a snowmobile?
No experience is required. A full safety briefing is provided. However, a valid driver’s licence is required to operate a snowmobile.

Can two people share a snowmobile?
Yes, snowmobiles are usually shared between two adults, with the option to switch drivers during the activity.

Important information

Snowmobile safaris have a self-liability of max. 1200€ per snowmobile. The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driving license in B-category.

Day 3 - Reindeer Adventure

After breakfast, learn about traditional reindeer husbandry and try your hand at throwing the suopunki, the traditional Lappish lasso used by reindeer herders. No Lapland experience would be complete without a reindeer sleigh ride, where you will have the opportunity to test your driving skills on a short journey through the snowy forest.

Return to the resort to enjoy a buffet lunch.

An optional afternoon activity is a visit to the Arctic Sauna World, located beside the stunning Lake Jerisjärvi. This unique sauna and Arctic swimming experience offers a collection of beautifully themed saunas with incredible views across the frozen lake and surrounding wilderness.

Arctic Sauna World provides a truly authentic Finnish wellness experience, with a variety of saunas including Vellamo, Tapio, and Ukko, each offering its own atmosphere and style. Relax in the lounge areas between sauna sessions or brave the icy waters of Lake Jerisjärvi for a refreshing Arctic dip.

The ice swimming experience is suitable for both first-time visitors and experienced winter swimmers.

After breakfast, enjoy one of the highlights of your Lapland holiday — meeting Santa in his cosy woodland home, with visits arranged one family at a time for a truly personal and magical experience. While waiting for your turn to meet Santa, there is plenty of time to enjoy a range of winter activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, floorball, football, and mini skidoos for the children.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to relax or continue exploring the beautiful snowy surroundings of the resort.

In the evening, enjoy a buffet dinner at the resort.
